The Peddler is the older sister restaurant to The Park Grill, which is located a short walk away. It’s evident that they keep the best employees over at The Peddler as well as the best menu & food. If you have to choose between The Peddler and The Park Grill, definitely go with The Peddler. It has become famous for its salad bar, which constantly has a great selection of the freshest foods.

As I was growing up, the women in my family would often crave The Peddler’s salad bar, which was fine for the men since we liked the fresh cuts of steak served by an actual peddler! A person rolls a cart around with fresh cuts of meat for you to choose from. These choice cuts are grilled over real Tennessee hickory charcoal and you actually get to see and choose the cut that you want

Still, if you’re craving something other than steak, the menu also features fresh Mountain Trout, Marinated Chicken and other delicious entrees.

As neat as the presentation is for the guys, I’ve seen many ladies squirm at the sight of this. It might be a nice place to take the mother-in-law after a long weekend…

As great as the salad bar and steaks are, it amazingly gets better with the dessert. You better still be hungry or have plans to pack a to-go box, because the desserts are HUGE. One piece of advice. If you arrive later than 5:30, you’ll most likely be waiting. Try calling the number below for call-ahead seating to slip by the crowd like a rock star….or local.

Also, the window seats are most people’s favorite due to the view of the creek below. If you get one on a night that is snowing…you’re in for a magical dinner. This is definitely one place to eat during your trip to Gatlinburg.
