Even the dining room has a balcony that you can have a romantic meal on and enjoy the incredible scenery. Before dinner, you may feel like working up an appetite and taking a romantic stroll down the half-mile trail to a creek that has a pavilion and fire pit for you to enjoy.
Other amenities of The Lodge at Buckberry Creek include free internet and a continental breakfast. The dinner has gotten great reviews even though the prices are on the high side…everyone we talk to says that it’s worth it! As far as the rates go, they range from $180-$460 a night (last we checked), so this may not be geared towards families or budget-minded vacations. Granted, there are many cabin rentals cabins that have rates similar to this, but the Lodge at Buckberry Creek is constantly rated high for their service, quality, and offerings. We dined at The Lodge on Saturday. Our trip started out badly – we walked in the front door and “interrupted” the young lady’s personal phone call. When she finally decided to notice us, she told whoever she was calling to “hold on, there are some people here”. She then sent us thru to the dining room where we were met by no-one. After waiting a few minutes, we went back to the front desk and the young lady said she’d tell the hostess, who apparently was yukking it up in the kitchen, that people were waiting to be seated. Our waiter, Zak?, was excellent, the food was excellent except the calimari, which was like nothing anyone had seen before. Unfortunately, our waiter failed to tell the diner this was some odd calimari so it was quite a shock when the plate arrived. All in all, despite our initial treatment, and except for the calimari eater, we were delighted with the Lodge and the food.
